My Journey
Prior to becoming a therapist, I had a career as a hairstylist. It was through my time as a stylist, my passion for helping others became evident. After having my two children, I decided to begin my journey as a marriage and family therapist. I attended graduate school at National University.
I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with experience in several contexts. I trained at the California and Family Institute, where I worked extensively supporting community members struggling with a wide range of problems including anxiety, trauma, substance misuse, depression, and relational issues.
As a narrative therapist, I approach therapy through a collaborative and non pathologizing lens where the client is the expert in their own life. With curiosity and compassion, I help clients access strengths and resources to help navigate through any challenges that are getting in the way of living their preferred life.
I also supervise pre‑licensed associate therapists who share this narrative, non‑pathologizing perspective, giving clients more scheduling flexibility and fee options.
I'm an LGBTQ-affirming therapist, creating space where every identity is honored and safe.
As a social justice ally, I stand for equity, weaving it into every conversation.
I practice from a multicultural perspective, respecting the diverse worlds we all carry.
